Celebrating the Opening of Pishkayhta Home
We proudly celebrated the opening of Pishkayhta Home, providing safe transitional housing and support for Métis women, children, and LGBTQ2S+ individuals fleeing gender-based violence. More than a place to live, Pishkayhta represents safety, dignity, belonging, and the opportunity for a new beginning.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Otipemisiwak Métis Government Health Department, the City of Edmonton, Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), and Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) for their partnership, funding, and support in bringing this important project to life.
